About Us

“Here we are, starting colts to send to the show pen and rehabbing last chance horses to give them a chance at a better life.”

Our background, training and qualifications

I wasn’t around horses much at a young age, but my dream was to not only ride but to learn and connect with these beautiful animals. At 14 years old, I got a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to intern under Mike Kinsey at Startem Right in Belton, South Carolina. From him, I learned horse behavior and psychology. I applied this during my internship to starting colts and horses with behavioral issues. This is where my love for reining and cowhorses started.

Years later I returned to learn more from Mike and I got the opportunity to begin riding reiners and learning reining techniques and starting colts in this manner. Over the last several years I have studied hard on reiners and cowhorses to learn the trade and how to make a good horse. I never lost my love for helping troubled horses and continue to work with abused, spoiled or last chance horses in hopes of returning them to their owners with a new understanding and a better mindset.

-Tabby Harris, Owner

“I’ve come back to horseback riding after many years, and I’ve brought a ton of traumatic baggage with me. Since I’ve been working with Tabby my confidence has grown tremendously, my ability to balance, control and rise with confidence has grown. Tabby’s patience with me is endless and no question that I ask is ever considered silly or simply. She explains everything and her knowledge about horsemanship is amazing. I am blessed to have found Tabby as a trainer.
